Mehendi

Late Morning

Round Lawn

Join us for the first event, a pastel carnival themed Mehendi celebration! There will be live games and special dance performances to kickoff wedding festivities, including mehendi artists for anyone that would like to get henna done. Lunch will be served during the event.

Dress: Indian or Western Semi-Formal. This might be lehengas, shararas, sarees, or long dresses for girls and kurtas or pants/shirts for guys.

Following the Mehendi, there will be a short break. Feel free to check in to your room, roam around the property and/or practice your Sangeet dance performance. Enjoy high-tea (tea, coffee and snacks) by the pool-side in the afternoon before getting ready for the next event.

Sangeet

Early Evening

Front Lawn

Sangeet means “sung together” in Sanskrit and it is a mainstay in Indian weddings. In modern times, the Sangeet has evolved into a high energy musical evening full of friends and family dance performances. Our shimmery glitz and glam evening will start with performances followed by dinner and an open dance floor.

Dress: Indian or Western Formal. This might be lehengas, sarees, or gowns for girls and sherwani, bandgalas, or suits for guys.

The Haldi ceremony is a pre-wedding ritual during which turmeric paste is applied to the Bride and Groom by close family and friends. There will be games and activities. Brunch will be served during the event.

Dress: Indian or Western Semi-Formal. This might be lehengas, shararas, sarees, or long dresses for girls and kurtas or pants/shirts for guys. Please leave your yellows at home and come in bright colours.

There will be a short break after the Haldi. Please use this time to rest up before a full slate of wedding festivities beginning in the afternoon continuing through the night.

Baraat

Afternoon

Amphitheater

The Baraat is a groom’s side procession in which the groom, along with family and friends, is making his way to the bride. Prior to the start of the Baraat, men on both the Bride and Groom side have the option of putting on a “safa”, a traditional headdress. There will be a viewing point for the Bride side to view the Baraat.

Dress: Indian or Western Formal. This might be lehengas, sarees, or gowns for girls and sherwani, bandgalas, or suits for guys. Wedding festivities are continuous, so there will be no time to change until the After Party.

Varmala

Sunset

Adya Lawn

Following the Baraat, the Bride and Groom exchange garlands during the Varmala, signifying their acceptance of each other as life partners.

Pheras

During the Pheras, the Bride and Groom say the sacred vows. There will be English commentary explaining the abbreviated prayers and rituals taking place on the Mandaap (Wedding Stage). We highly encourage you to watch the Pheras.
