Leaving on a Jet Plane

Travelling in Asia

A Note About Currency & Credit Cards

Major credit cards are accepted in the Philippines and India, however, we recommend exchanging $100 USD to the local currency (Philippine peso or Indian rupees) so you have cash in hand, if needed. Mobile payments are generally not used in The Philippines or India, so please have cash or your credit card ready to use.

A Note About Plugs and Voltages

Please remember to bring an adapter for your chargers and electrical devices. The Philippines and India have a voltage of 220V, which means those coming from Canada and the United States will need to check their chargers and power supplies to ensure that it can accommodate the higher voltage (Canadian and American voltages are 120V). If you are unsure, for safety, please obtain a converter to be able to use your charges and electrical devices.

A Note About Drinking Water

We advise all of our guests to not drink the water from the faucet. Always request bottled or filtered water when eating out at restaurants or bars. We will be serving bottled drinking water at all of our events.

Specifically for India, please avoid eating milk products not from coffee shops or cafes. Also, refrain from eating street food with any liquids, as the water may not be filtered.

A Note About the Language

Almost all Filipinos and Indians speak English. All airport, hotel and transportation staff will be fluent in English, so do not hesitate to ask for help.
