Where Do I Begin?

Therese and Akshay first met as IB students in Fishers, Indiana. They became friends as they navigated the stresses of college applications and acceptances.
They both chose to go to Indiana University. Their friendship followed them down to Bloomington, keeping them close throughout the school years. It wasn't until they were halfway through junior year that they realised their friendship could be something more. They graduated not knowing what was in store for them.
For a few years, they spent time apart. Akshay built his life in NYC, starting his first job and getting his first apartment. Therese, on the other hand, began law school in Indianapolis, spending time between her textbooks and the Law Ladies (her closest law friends).
Therese transferred to NYU Law. When she graduated, she became a corporate lawyer and started her career. During this time, Akshay and Therese both knew that NYC was their place, and they made the most of their time in the city.
Surprising Therese was nearly an impossible task. The day Akshay was scheduled to pickup the ring, the elevator in the apartment was not working, so Akshay walked up and down 33 flights of stairs. On the day of the proposal, he took Therese to her favourite cafe for breakfast, where he popped the question with a pink macaron display. It was an easy “yes” for Therese.
Where are they now? They're enjoying their engagement year travelling and awaiting what the next chapter will bring.
